SEDGWICK COUNTY, KS — One person died in a motorcycle accident on Meridian near 109th Street just after 9 p.m. Monday.
According to the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office, 46-year-old Guerrero Moreno Jr. of Wichita was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound when he crossed into oncoming traffic. The motorcycle came to rest in the northbound lanes, where it was struck by a Toyota RAV4 driven by a 68-year-old woman from Sedgwick.
Moreno was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency Medical Services transported the SUV driver to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office Major Crash Team is investigating the incident. No further details have been released at this time.
