Kory A. Stokes, 39, of Foster Township, died in a motorcycle crash on the northbound Pennsylvania Turnpike around 4:25 p.m. on June 30.
The collision occurred near Mile Marker 63.1 in North Whitehall Township, involving a motorcycle and a tractor-trailer. Stokes suffered multiple traumatic injuries and was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, where he was pronounced dead at 5:28 p.m., according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.
The coroner ruled the cause of death as multiple traumatic injuries sustained in the accident, which has been classified as an accident. Authorities confirmed that Stokes was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The Pennsylvania State Police from the Pocono Station and the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office are conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident. Further details regarding Stokes’ personal life have not been released.
