La Porte County Deputies Investigate Fatal Crash.

WANAUTAH, IN—A personal injury crash involving two motorcycles and a passenger vehicle occurred Saturday, July 11, at 3:59 p.m. on US Highway 421 at School Road.

According to the La Porte County Sheriff’s Office, a northbound 2005 Mazda, driven by 19-year-old Daniel Quiroz of Portage, Indiana, struck a 2021 Harley Davidson motorcycle from behind. The motorcycle was operated by 42-year-old Ryan Harrison from Clarks Hill, Indiana, who and his passenger, 41-year-old Amber Harrison, were ejected from the bike.

The Mazda then collided with a second motorcycle, a 2006 Harley Davidson operated by 42-year-old Levi Bridges from Lafayette, ejecting him and his passenger, 41-year-old Amanda Bridges.

Emergency response included airlifting Ryan and Amber Harrison to South Bend Memorial Hospital. Levi and Amanda Bridges were transported to Franciscan Hospital/Michigan City for treatment. Ryan Harrison succumbed to his injuries on Sunday, July 12, 2026.

Toxicology tests are pending, and no further information is currently available. The incident remains under investigation.
