WILLMAR — A 48-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash on County Road 8 near Lake Lillian on Saturday, May 15, at 7:17 p.m.
According to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, the man was traveling southbound on a 2008 Suzuki when the motorcycle left the roadway. The vehicle entered the ditch at a curve near 134th Avenue Southeast, rolling several times, resulting in the rider being ejected.
Authorities stated the name of the deceased will be released after the next of kin has been notified. The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an ongoing investigation into the incident.
Emergency responders included the Minnesota State Patrol, Willmar Police Department, Lake Lillian Ambulance, Lake Lillian Fire Department, Kandiyohi County Rescue, CentraCare Ambulance, and Life Link Helicopter. No further details on injuries or lane closures were available.
