Fatal Crash in Lakota Claims One Life
LAKOTA, N.D. (KVRR) — A 93-year-old man was killed in a crash at the intersection of U.S. Highways 2 and 1 in Lakota on Friday afternoon.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Leonard Aamot failed to yield to oncoming traffic when he crossed the highway after stopping at a stop sign. His vehicle was struck by an SUV traveling westbound.
The woman driving the SUV and two juvenile passengers reported no injuries.
Authorities stated the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
