LYCOMING COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A 17-year-old Lebanon County teen died following a motorcycle crash on Route 287 Saturday evening.
Maxton Lazarony, of Richland, lost control of his motorcycle around 5 p.m. while traveling through Pine Township, according to LYCOMING COUNTY Coroner Charles Kiessling Jr.
Authorities reported that Lazarony left the roadway, striking a ditch and embankment before being thrown from the motorcycle. Emergency Medical Services arrived but pronounced him dead at 5:52 p.m.
Lazarony was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and suffered traumatic injuries, Kiessling confirmed in a news release.
The roadway was dry during the incident, and no environmental factors were reported to have contributed to the crash, according to State Police.
Traffic in the area was impacted as an investigation was initiated, with lane closures in effect until the scene was cleared.
