An 18-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured in a crash Wednesday afternoon in Leoni Township on Page Avenue near South Sutton Road.
The incident involved two vehicles and occurred as the motorcycle was traveling east on Page Avenue when it collided with another vehicle. The rider was ejected into the westbound lane, where a second vehicle struck him, according to authorities.
The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. Occupants of the other vehicles involved reported no injuries. The Blackman-Leoni Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash.
Preliminary evidence suggests possible speed and an improper passing maneuver as contributing factors. Police have not yet confirmed the official cause of the accident.
