One man is in serious condition following a motorcycle crash on Stringtown Road in Cole County on Tuesday evening.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the accident occurred at approximately 6:50 p.m. when a 2023 Harley-Davidson Fat Bob 114 was traveling east near Walnut Acres Road. The 22-year-old driver from Lohman was reportedly speeding and lost control of the motorcycle.
The rider was ejected from the bike and came to rest in the roadway while the motorcycle continued east, crossing the center lines before crashing off the left side. Emergency medical services transported him to University Hospital with critical injuries.
MSHP confirmed that the rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. An investigation is ongoing, and no lane closures were reported at the scene.
