One man is in serious condition following a motorcycle crash in Cole County on Tuesday evening.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), a 2023 Harley-Davidson Fat Bob 114 was traveling east on Stringtown Road around 6:50 p.m. near Walnut Acres Road when the driver, a 22-year-old man from Lohman, lost control of the motorcycle while traveling too fast for conditions.
The rider was ejected from the bike and came to rest in the roadway, while the motorcycle continued east, crossed the center lines, and crashed off the left side of the roadway.
Emergency Medical Services transported the driver to University Hospital with critical injuries. MSHP confirmed that he was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
No other vehicles were involved, and authorities have not reported any lane closures. The investigation is ongoing.
