Hopewell, N.Y. — A motorcycle crash in Ontario County on Friday afternoon resulted in serious injuries to a 19-year-old motorcyclist.
According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the intersection of State Route 488 and Archer Road at 3:16 p.m.
Authorities said a 79-year-old man from Romulus was turning into a driveway when he failed to yield to the eastbound motorcyclist, leading to a collision.
The motorcyclist was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The 79-year-old driver received a citation for failure to yield.
Emergency responders provided assistance on the scene, and a portion of State Route 488 was temporarily closed for the investigation and cleanup.
