A motorcycle accident in Elkmont Monday night resulted in the death of a 54-year-old Madison man, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 p.m. on Sandlin Road near Upper Fort Hampton Road. Authorities identified the victim as Brian Hunt. He was operating a 2007 Yamaha XVS650 motorcycle when it left the roadway and struck an embankment. Hunt was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the accident site. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and no further details have been released.
