AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A motorcycle crash at the intersection of I-40 frontage road and Paramount Blvd. left a 34-year-old rider with life-threatening injuries on October 14, 2023.
According to the Amarillo Police Department (APD), the motorcycle and a passenger vehicle, traveling eastbound on the I-40 frontage road, both entered the intersection against a red light.
Witnesses reported that the motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported to a local hospital for emergency treatment.
APD’s traffic unit is investigating the incident. Authorities confirmed that no other injuries were reported.
APD has not released the identities of those involved, as the investigation is ongoing, and further information will be made available later.
