Man Charged in Deadly Farmington Crash Involving Pickup Truck, Motorcycle, and School Bus.

FARMINGTON, CT – A fatal crash involving a school bus, motorcycle, and pickup truck occurred at approximately 4 p.m. on Monday at the intersection of Meadow Road and Plainville Avenue (Route 177).

Authorities reported that 39-year-old Ciera Schultz, the motorcycle operator from Bristol, was transported to a nearby hospital where she later died from her injuries. The bus, carrying a driver and a 7-year-old child, was struck from behind; both remained unharmed, though the child was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

According to the preliminary investigation, all three vehicles were traveling west on Meadow Road when the pickup truck, driven by Gary Berube, collided with the motorcycle and bus. Berube was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence.
