CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man has died from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash in north Charlotte on Saturday evening.
The incident occurred around 6 p.m. on West Sugar Creek Road near Douglas Street, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. Reginald Stowe, 56, was riding a 2022 Suzuki motorcycle at a high rate of speed when he collided with a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Stowe suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead on Thursday. The occupants of the Jeep were not injured.
Authorities indicated speed was not a contributing factor for Stowe in the crash, and toxicology reports are pending. The driver of the Jeep was not impaired, and no charges have been filed.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident.
