Accident in Tuscaloosa Results in Multiple Injuries and Lane Closures
Tuscaloosa, AL — A multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 20/59 southbound near exit 73 caused several injuries and significant lane closures at approximately 3:15 p.m. on October 8.
Authorities reported that four vehicles were involved in the crash. Emergency personnel from the Tuscaloosa Fire Department and Alabama State Troopers responded promptly to the scene. Multiple individuals were transported to a local hospital for treatment; however, the extent of their injuries has not been disclosed.
The southbound lanes of I-20/59 were closed temporarily while emergency responders cleared the wreckage and assessed the situation. Investigators are currently examining the cause of the crash.
