A fatal motorcycle accident occurred near Spearfish on Saturday evening, resulting in one death.
The incident took place at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Highway 85, northbound. Authorities reported that a motorcycle collided with a pickup truck, involving two vehicles in total. The motorcyclist, identified as a 35-year-old male from Spearfish, sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency response teams, including the South Dakota Highway Patrol and local ambulance services, were dispatched to the location. The northbound lanes of Highway 85 were temporarily closed for safety and investigation purposes.
