Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-75 Injures Four
A multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 75 in Sarasota injured four individuals on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. on the northbound lanes near Exit 207. Emergency responders, including the SARASOTA FIRE DEPARTMENT, arrived on the scene shortly after the crash was reported.
The collision involved three vehicles, two of which were severely damaged. Authorities confirmed that four people sustained injuries and were transported to local hospitals for medical treatment. The severity of their injuries is not currently available.
Northbound lanes of I-75 were closed for over an hour as crews worked to clear the wreckage and debris. Towing services removed the vehicles, allowing traffic to resume around 3:55 p.m.
