Minneota, MN (MinnesotaNow) – A Minneota man was killed in a collision on Hwy. 68 Friday afternoon.
Authorities responded to the scene shortly before 2:30 p.m. The incident involved two vehicles traveling east on the two-lane highway, approximately 14 miles north of Marshall.
76-Year-Old Man Dead, 21-Year-Old Woman Injured
76-year-old Edward Joseph Lozinski, driving a car, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle, an SUV, was identified as 21-year-old Hailey Elizabeth Pederson of Echo, MN.
SUV Driver Taken to ER
Pederson was transported to the Emergency Room in Marshall with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the MINNESOTA STATE PATROL.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and authorities confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the crash. Investigation into the specifics of the collision is ongoing.
