Akron, OH. – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a vehicle that ran a stop sign in Akron last week Friday evening.
According to the Akron Police Department, the accident happened around 6 p.m. at the intersection of High Street and Selle Street.
A 25-year-old man was driving a pickup truck when he reportedly ran a stop sign at the intersection and struck a 72-year-old man riding a motorcycle southbound on High Street.
The rider was transported to a local hospital where he died while receiving treatment, according to the office of the Summit County medical examiner.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
