Hillsborough County, FL. – A Winter Haven man died in a motorcycle accident that happened in Hillsborough County on Friday afternoon.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 2:40 p.m. on Interstate 275 just north of milepost 43.
The 47-year-old man was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound when he crashed into the rear of a Tesla Model 3.
The rider was transported to the hospital where he later died.
The 49-year-old Lithia woman driving the Tesla and her 19-year-old passenger were not injured.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
