HOPKINTON, R.I. (WJAR) — A motorcycle crash Wednesday night resulted in the death of a 61-year-old man on Clarks Falls Road.
According to police, officers responded to the incident at approximately 11:18 p.m. and found an unresponsive man alongside his motorcycle.
The victim was identified as Donald Hopkins Jr., who was traveling from Main Street towards Connecticut when his motorcycle veered off the roadway.
Authorities reported the motorcycle struck a rock, leading to a loss of control. No other vehicles were involved, and foul play is not suspected.
The Hopkinton Police said Hopkins was transported to Westerly Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Police are investigating the crash, and Clarks Falls Road remains open to traffic.
