Motorcycle Crash Leaves Maryland Rider Hospitalized in Nebraska
LINCOLN, NE — A serious motorcycle accident involving John Dant occurred on July 28 while he was traveling through Nebraska.
According to authorities, Dant lost control of his motorcycle as he departed Lincoln, resulting in multiple injuries, including nine fractured ribs and collapsed lungs. He underwent a four-hour surgery to repair his lungs and stabilize his condition.
Dant has spent over 13 days in the hospital, including four days in Intensive Care. Friends say his recovery is progressing, and he may be discharged soon, but he requires specialized medical transport back to Baltimore.
Emergency personnel responded promptly to the scene. The details of the crash are under investigation. Friends have initiated a GoFundMe to aid in covering the considerable costs associated with Dant’s transport home via medical ambulance, estimated to take 19 hours.
Dant, a father of three and member of the Baltimore Ramblers MC, was en route to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally when the accident occurred. The community is rallying to support him during this challenging time.
