WESTFORD (WLUK) — A 56-year-old Mayville man suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash on County Highway FW in Westford on June 17.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office reported the incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. A 2024 Harley-Davidson trike and a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle were traveling north when the trike attempted to turn right into a parking lot. The motorcycle rear-ended the trike, resulting in the ejection of its rider.
The injured motorcyclist was transported by UW Med Flight to UW Hospital. The 76-year-old driver of the trike sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Waupun Memorial Hospital by Randolph EMS.
Authorities noted that neither rider was wearing a helmet, and they indicated that this contributed to the severity of the 56-year-old man’s injuries.
The incident is still under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.
