BANNOCK COUNTY, Idaho — A 31-year-old man died after a motorcycle crash on Interstate 15 near Pocatello on Friday at 2:51 p.m.
The incident occurred near milepost 67 on the northbound side, where the rider lost control of his 2021 Indian Chieftain motorcycle and struck a guardrail. He was not wearing a helmet and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Authorities have not released the rider’s identity, pending family notification. Northbound I-15 was closed for approximately two and a half hours as emergency personnel responded.
The investigation is ongoing, led by the Idaho State Police, with assistance from local agencies, including the Pocatello Fire and Police Departments and the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office.
