BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. (WSBT) — A memorial ride took place Sunday to honor Firefighter Zach Poole, who died in a motorcycle crash on Friday.
Poole, 33 years old, was killed when a Jeep reportedly pulled in front of his motorcycle on a roadway in Berrien County Friday morning.
The ride commenced at 11 a.m. at the accident site, located at the intersection of Meadowbrook and Michael Roads.
All funds raised during the event were donated to Poole’s mother to assist with funeral expenses.
Authorities confirmed that the accident is still under investigation and noted that emergency responders were on the scene immediately following the crash.
