ETNA GREEN – A Michigan man was airlifted to a hospital following a motorcycle accident on SR 19 Friday afternoon.
At 1:47 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a crash on SR 19, south of West CR 250N. According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Brian K. Smith, 39, from Coloma, Michigan, was riding north when his motorcycle left the roadway for unknown reasons.
Smith attempted to regain control but ultimately overturned, resulting in his ejection from the bike. He was found unconscious at the scene and was transported by air to South Bend Memorial Hospital due to a head injury.
Authorities reported damages are estimated at $25,000, and a full investigation is underway.
