Milburn Man Dies in Bryan County Motorcycle Accident.

BRYAN COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) – A Milburn motorcyclist died following a crash on SH-78 near Silo Road on Tuesday at 5:30 a.m.

Timothy Steely, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).

No other vehicles were involved, and circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.

OHP reported that Steely lost control of his motorcycle, veering off the roadway and striking a sign, a rock, a small tree, and a culvert.

Trooper Scott Hampton stated that first responders found Steely unresponsive and attempted life-saving measures, which were unsuccessful.

As of now, the cause of the crash has not been determined. Hampton mentioned, “It’s too hard to tell at this time what caused the collision.”

Steely was not wearing a helmet; Oklahoma law permits riders over 18 to ride without one.

OHP continues to investigate, emphasizing the importance of driver attentiveness in the area.

“Make sure that you’re not driving distracted and always wearing your safety equipment,” Hampton advised.

No lane closures or traffic detours were reported.
