Motorcycle Crash on Veterans Highway Leaves One Injured
A motorcycle crash on northbound Veterans Highway, just north of Brightview Road, occurred shortly after 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
According to authorities, Charles D. Braun, 34, was riding a 1982 Yamaha XJ650 when he attempted to change lanes across uneven pavement. Witnesses reported that Braun lost control and was thrown from the motorcycle, falling into the path of a northbound Chevrolet Colorado.
Emergency responders from the local Fire Department and Ambulance Service arrived at the scene shortly after the incident. Braun was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
No occupants in the Chevrolet Colorado were reported injured. Authorities confirmed that the roadway was temporarily closed to facilitate medical aid and tow operations.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing, with authorities reviewing witness statements and assessing roadway conditions at the time of the incident.
