Minnesota man dies in motorcycle crash in Northland on Thursday afternoon.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 53-year-old man from Albert Lea, Minnesota, died Thursday in a motorcycle crash that closed southbound Interstate 35 at Pleasant Valley Road for about an hour.

The incident occurred around 2:41 p.m. when the rider lost control of his 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle, ran off the roadway, and struck a guardrail.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the impact ejected the motorcyclist from the bike. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities have not released the victim’s name pending family notification. MSHP’s crash team is currently investigating the accident.
