SAUK COUNTY, Wis. (WFRV) – A three-motorcycle collision on Saturday resulted in one fatality and three injuries, according to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office.
The deceased has been identified as 68-year-old Dale Braun of Courtland, Minnesota. The incident occurred on August 5 at approximately 7:30 p.m. on County Road K near Biesek Road.
Emergency responders found three motorcycles involved in the crash. A 2020 Harley-Davidson, operated by a 32-year-old Lyndon Station man, reportedly collided with two southbound motorcycles.
One of the motorcycles, a 2024 Harley-Davidson, had Braun and a 63-year-old female passenger. Braun was pronounced dead at the scene, while the passenger was transported via Med Flight to a Madison-area hospital.
The second motorcycle, a 2008 Victory, had a 37-year-old operator who sustained minor injuries and was treated on-site. A 29-year-old passenger from the same motorcycle was also Med Flighted to the hospital.
Authorities stated that the names of the remaining individuals involved are being withheld pending notification of their families. Investigators are looking into possible contributing factors, including speed and alcohol.
The investigation is ongoing, and no further details have been released at this time.
