Motorcycle Crash in Winfield Claims One Life, Leaves Several Injured
WINFIELD, Wis. — A motorcycle crash on Highway K near Biesek Road resulted in one fatality and multiple injuries on Sunday at approximately 7:30 p.m.
According to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office, a 32-year-old man from Lyndon Station was traveling north on Highway K when he collided with two southbound motorcycles. Dale Braun, 68, of Courtland, Minn., was operating a 2024 Harley-Davidson and died at the scene. His 63-year-old female passenger was airlifted by UW MedFlight to a Madison-area hospital.
A 37-year-old man on a 2008 Victory motorcycle sustained injuries and was treated at the scene, while his 29-year-old female passenger was also airlifted to a hospital.
Authorities indicated that speed and alcohol may have contributed to the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
