LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (Local News Wire) — A 61-year-old woman died Sunday afternoon after losing control of her three-wheeled motorcycle on KY-53, near 1346 Willisburg Road.
According to Kentucky State Police (KSP), Carol Jean Olson of Faribault, Minnesota, was traveling south around 4 p.m. when she lost control while navigating a sharp curve. She was thrown from the motorcycle and struck the base of a road sign. Authorities confirmed she was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
KSP Post 12 in Frankfort was notified by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office at approximately 4:15 p.m. and responded to the scene.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
