Biker Injured in Semi Truck Crash in Holt County

HOLT COUNTY, Mo. — A 37-year-old man from Mound City sustained minor injuries in a motorcycle collision with a semi truck on Saturday evening.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 59 and exit ramp 92 of Interstate 29, approximately one mile east of Craig. A 2016 Freightliner Cascadia, driven by a 38-year-old male from Graham, Wash., was traveling northbound on the exit ramp when it failed to yield to a westbound 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

MSHP reports the semi truck attempted to turn west onto Highway 59, resulting in the motorcycle striking the front passenger side of the truck. The collision ejected the biker onto the roadway.

Emergency medical services transported the injured biker to a local hospital for treatment. No fatalities were reported, and the investigation into the crash remains ongoing. No lane closures were noted at the scene.

Authorities are continuing to gather evidence and witness statements. Further details may be released as the investigation progresses.
