One-Vehicle Accident in Park Hills Results in Moderate Injuries
A Park Hills man sustained moderate injuries in a motorcycle accident on July 29 at 7:55 p.m. on Mo. 8, north of Russell Road.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 33-year-old driver of a 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R lost control while trying to avoid animals in the roadway, skidding and overturning, which ejected him from the vehicle.
The driver, who was wearing a safety device, was transported to Parkland Hospital in Farmington by St. Francois County ambulance. The motorcycle sustained moderate damage and was removed by private conveyance.
Minor Injuries Reported in Morning Collision on US-67
A morning collision on July 29 left a 77-year-old driver from St. Louis with minor injuries.
At 7:20 a.m., a westbound 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 43-year-old female from Park Hills, failed to yield to a southbound 2023 Cadillac XTS. The Cadillac struck the right rear of the Silverado, leading to minor injuries for the Cadillac’s driver.
She was transported to Parkland Health Center-Bonne Terre by St. Francois County ambulance. Both vehicles were declared total losses and towed by Fudge Towing and Buckley Towing.
Irondale Man Sustains Minor Injuries in Early Morning Motorcycle Accident
An Irondale man suffered minor injuries in a motorcycle accident early July 29.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, at 12:47 a.m., a 36-year-old man riding a 2007 Harley-Davidson DYNA Street Bob ran off the right side of Mounts Road, overturning and ejecting himself. He was not wearing a safety device and was transported to Washington County Memorial Hospital by Washington County ambulance.
The motorcycle sustained extensive damage and was removed by Elliot’s Towing.
Moderate Injuries in Ste. Genevieve County Motorcycle Accident
A 52-year-old St. Mary man was left with moderate injuries in a motorcycle accident on July 29 at 11:45 a.m.
Authorities reported the rider was southbound on Route C, north of Sprout Road, when he failed to negotiate a curve, causing the motorcycle to strike a log and overturn. The driver, not wearing a safety device, was airlifted to Mercy Hospital St. Louis.
The motorcycle was declared a total loss and was towed by Boyd’s Towing.
