One-Vehicle Accident in Park Hills Leaves Man Injured
PARK HILLS, MO – A Park Hills man sustained moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident on July 29 at 7:55 p.m. on Mo. 8, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
A 33-year-old driver was riding a 2023 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R northbound when he swerved to avoid animals in the roadway, lost control, and overturned. The driver was ejected from the motorcycle but was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident.
He was transported to Parkland Hospital in Farmington by St. Francois County Ambulance. The motorcycle sustained moderate damage and was removed from the scene by private conveyance.
In a separate incident on the same day, a minor accident on southbound US-67 occurred at 7:20 a.m. A 43-year-old female driver of a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado failed to yield to a southbound 2023 Cadillac XTS, resulting in a collision. The Cadillac, driven by a 77-year-old female from St. Louis, struck the right rear of the Silverado.
The Cadillac driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Parkland Health Center-Bonne Terre. Both vehicles were declared a total loss, with towing conducted by Fudge Towing and Buckley Towing.
Additionally, at 12:47 a.m. on July 29, a 36-year-old Irondale man was injured in an accident involving a 2007 Harley-Davidson DYNA Street Bob on Mounts Road. The motorcycle ran off the road, overturned, and the driver was ejected. He was not wearing a safety device and was transported to Washington County Memorial Hospital.
Later, at 11:45 a.m., a 52-year-old male driver in Ste. Genevieve County suffered moderate injuries in an accident involving a 2018 Harley-Davidson Ultra. The driver lost control while southbound on Route C. He was not wearing a safety device and was airlifted to Mercy Hospital St. Louis. The motorcycle was declared a total loss.
