MN State Patrol Identifies Motorcyclist Who Died in Hwy. 14 Crash.

Motorcycle Collision on Hwy. 14 Claims Life of North Mankato Man

Springfield, MN — A motorcycle crash on Highway 14 resulted in one fatality on Saturday afternoon, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The incident occurred around 4:00 p.m. at the intersection with Range Rd. involving a motorcycle and an SUV. Authorities identified the deceased motorcyclist as 52-year-old Jeffrey John Bentdahl of North Mankato. He was pronounced dead at a hospital in Sleepy Eye after the collision.

Bentdahl was traveling east on Highway 14 when he collided with the SUV, driven by 63-year-old Leann Marie Jensen, who was heading south. Jensen did not sustain injuries in the crash. The report indicated that Bentdahl was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

State Patrol has not confirmed if alcohol was a factor in the collision. The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.

No lanes were closed at the scene after emergency responders cleared the area.
