Montfort Man Sustains Serious Injuries in Motorcycle Crash.

MONTFORT, Wis. (WMTV) – A 42-year-old man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a motorcycle crash on Saturday near Route 66.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, authorities received a 911 call at 11:28 a.m. about someone yelling for help in a pasture in Wingville Township.

Responding officers found Travis Mulrooney, who reportedly lost control of his motorcycle, veered off the road, and struck a tree before going through a barbed wire fence.

Mulrooney was located in a pasture after the crash. He was not wearing a helmet, and authorities believe speed may have contributed to the incident.

Emergency Medical Services transported him to a landing zone in Montfort, where he was subsequently airlifted to UW Hospital in Madison.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is conducting the ongoing investigation.
