A 31-year-old moped driver sustained critical injuries in a collision with a minivan in Coldwater.
Michigan State Police responded to the incident at approximately 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of Marshall and Newton roads on Monday, July 20.
The 92-year-old minivan driver was not injured, according to authorities.
Emergency responders treated the moped driver on-site before airlifting him to Beacon Kalamazoo via West Michigan Air Care, where he remains in critical condition.
Police stated that drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors. The investigation is ongoing, and details regarding the cause of the crash or the vehicles’ directions of travel have not been disclosed.
