Motorcycle Accident Injures Two North of Bethany
A motorcycle accident on Route W, five miles north of Bethany, left two individuals injured on Saturday evening.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at 7:55 p.m. when a 24-year-old male from Kansas City, Kansas, was driving southbound and struck a deer on the roadway. The motorcycle subsequently slid on its side.
The operator sustained minor injuries, while a 22-year-old male passenger from Bethany incurred moderate injuries. Both were transported to Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany by private vehicle.
The motorcycle suffered minor damage and was removed from the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement. The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Highway Patrol with the incident. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
