Deadly Crash on I-5 in Tracy Claims Motorcyclist’s Life
Tracy, CA – A motorcyclist died following a collision with a car on northbound Interstate 5 near the State Route 132 on-ramp on Thursday at approximately 7:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash involved a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and a Toyota sedan. Authorities said the driver of the Toyota reported that the motorcyclist lost control while entering the northbound I-5 on-ramp and slid in front of the vehicle.
Emergency responders, including firefighters, performed CPR on the rider at the scene. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead due to injuries sustained in the incident.
Traffic lanes were impacted while first responders dealt with the situation. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the crash.
