Motorcycle Collides with WFD Rescue Vehicle on September 22, According to WPD.

Motorcycle Collides with Warwick Fire Department Rescue Vehicle, Injuries Reported

WARWICK, RI — A motorcycle crashed head-on into a Warwick Fire Department rescue vehicle on Diamond Hill Road at 7:40 p.m. on Sept. 22.

According to Warwick Police, the fire department unit, Rescue 2, was returning to Station 5 when the incident occurred near Larchmont Drive. The motorcyclist, traveling northbound, lost control and crossed the double yellow line, colliding with the rescue vehicle.

The motorcyclist sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported for treatment by another rescue team. Authorities indicated that speed was likely a contributing factor in the crash.

The Warwick Police Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident.
