VIENNA, N.Y. — A fatal two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck occurred on St. Rt. 13 on July 22 at 5:05 p.m.
According to New York State Police, Ryan A. Lyke, 37, of Canastota, was riding a 2022 Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound when Leo G. Seaton, 90, of Camden, attempted to make a left turn into the motorcycle’s path, resulting in a collision.
Lyke was transported to Rome Health, where he was pronounced dead. The New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is currently processing the scene.
Authorities confirmed that a drug recognition expert found no signs of impairment in the pickup truck driver. The investigation remains ongoing.
