A motorcycle rider was fatally injured after colliding with a deer in Ann Arbor, Michigan, early Sunday morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:50 a.m. on Jackson Avenue near Worden Avenue. According to the Ann Arbor Police Department, the 20-year-old rider was traveling eastbound when the collision took place.
Huron Valley Ambulance transported the motorcyclist to the University of Michigan Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as Benjamin F. Gates.
The Ann Arbor Fire Department also responded to the scene. Authorities have not disclosed whether any charges will be filed or the specifics of the ongoing investigation.
