Motorcycle Crash Closes Lanes on SB Highway 217 in Tigard.

A crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup blocked all but one lane of southbound Highway 217 near Tigard on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred between SW Greenburg Road and Highway 99. The far left lane remained open on southbound 217, while the on-ramp from Greenburg was closed.

Emergency responders arrived on the scene to find the motorcyclist pinned beneath the truck’s front axle. A hydraulic tool was employed to extricate the motorcyclist, who was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

As of 6 p.m., the right-hand lanes of the highway remained closed. The cause of the crash is under investigation, and no timeline for lane reopening has been provided.
