Traffic Accident on Highway 101 Leaves One Dead and Two Injured
A multi-vehicle accident on Highway 101 near Santa Rosa resulted in one fatality and two injuries on October 13 at approximately 4:45 p.m.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision involved three vehicles traveling southbound. Emergency responders pronounced one individual dead at the scene and transported two others to a nearby hospital with varying injuries.
The highway was partially closed for several hours as investigators assessed the situation and cleared the wreckage. Tow trucks removed the vehicles, and the southbound lanes reopened around 8 p.m.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision and ask anyone with information to contact the California Highway Patrol.
