Motorcycle Crash in Walton Claims Life of Williamstown Man
(Walton, Ky.) – A single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Dixie Highway resulted in the death of a 47-year-old man on Sunday evening.
Boone County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the incident in the 11000 block at approximately 6:42 p.m. According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office, Robert Schulze, of Williamstown, was traveling southbound when he failed to navigate a left-hand curve at Duffel Lane. His motorcycle left the roadway, collided with a culvert, and subsequently struck a metal gate.
Schulze was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators noted that he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing. No additional injuries were reported.
