A motorcycle rider and a pedestrian were killed in a crash on Route 37 west at Coolidge Avenue in Toms River Sunday night.
The collision occurred around 8 p.m., as confirmed by township police. Both victims were found on the roadway with severe injuries and were pronounced dead shortly after emergency responders arrived. Their identities have not yet been released.
Authorities reported that parts of Route 37 were closed to allow for investigation and scene processing. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
