Motorcycle crash in North Carolina mountains results in man’s death.

WATAUGA COUNTY, N.C. (WBTV) – A motorcycle crash in Watauga County on Saturday resulted in the death of 51-year-old Michael Lyn Holman.

The incident occurred around 4 p.m. on September 20, on Pottertown Road, near Meat Camp Road. Holman was riding his Harley-Davidson when he attempted to pass a vehicle in a no-passing zone, lost control, and flipped the motorcycle, colliding with an oncoming Jeep SUV.

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, Holman was transported to a hospital in Winston-Salem, where he succumbed to his injuries on September 22. The driver of the Jeep was uninjured.

Authorities stated that no charges will be filed in connection with the crash. The location is a few miles from the North Carolina-Tennessee border.
