A Green City man sustained moderate injuries in a motorcycle crash in Putnam County early Saturday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred on May 9, 2026, at approximately 6 a.m. on Highway Y, about one-quarter mile south of 340th Road. Authorities reported a 2011 Harley-Davidson Softail traveling southbound went off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
The 69-year-old driver was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. He was transported by Putnam County Ambulance to MercyOne Centerville Medical Center in Centerville, Iowa. The motorcycle sustained minor damage and was secured at the roadside.
The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department and Unionville Fire Department assisted at the scene. An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
