Motorcyclist Killed in Crash in Thermal
THERMAL, Calif. (April 21, 2026) — A motorcycle rider was killed in a collision with a sedan early Tuesday at 59th Avenue and Pierce Street, according to authorities.
The incident occurred at 6:03 a.m., involving one motorcycle and one sedan. Emergency responders from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department arrived shortly after the crash.
The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of next of kin. Authorities reported one additional minor injury related to the crash.
The intersection was temporarily closed for an investigation and to clear the vehicles. Plaza Towing was on-site to assist in towing evidence from the involved sedan.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is conducting an investigation into the circumstances of the collision and is asking anyone with information to come forward.
